JPO Work Causes Traffic Diversion at Jalan Pasar Jumat

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has been detouring traffic around Jalan Pasar Jumat from April 11 to October 30, 2022, to allow for the construction of the Simpang Lebak Bulus Point Square Crossing Bridge (JPO) project, South Jakarta.

It will be carried out following the stage of work

Dishub Head Syafrin Liputo said the work was located on Jalan Pasar Jumat on the west side of the Lebak Bulus MRT Station. During the work, motorists used one lane on the public transportation and Transjakarta routes, which were originally two lanes on the side of the Lebak Bulus MRT Station.

"It will be carried out following the stage of work," he said, Thursday (4/21).

Here are Adjustments Applied to Transjakarta Bus Routes

The following are the stages of work for the Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus Point Square JPO:

A. Detail 1:

- Installation of work fences and canalization of pedestrian tracks from April 11 to October 30, 2022

- All work is inside the fenced area all day, except for the mobilization of materials and heavy equipment at night

B. Detail 2:

- Demolishment work of MRT station stairs, will close the leftmost lane. Traffic can still use the right lane with a tentative implementation time in April 2022 starting from 12 AM to 4 AM

- Installation of new stairs to MRT stations, will close the leftmost lane. Traffic can still use the right lane with a tentative implementation time in August 2022 starting from 12 AM to 4 AM.

C. Detail 3:

- The work of lifting the crossing girder to access Jalan Cempaka Lestari, will close part of the road gradually, residents' access can still be used

- Execution time is tentative in June 2022 from 12 AM to 4 AM

PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head Rendi Alhial explained customers were directed to use access in the elevator or escalator or the entrance stairs D and E on the south side of the station amid the demolishment of the stairs to the Lebak Bulus Grab MRT Station in April 2022 starting from 12 AM to 4 AM.

"The waiting point for the PPD feeder transport will be moved to the front of entrance E and bike parking will be directed to entrance D amid the demolishment of the stairs of the Lebak Bulus MRT Station," he explained.

He added work on lifting the crossing girder would be executed in June 2022 by partially closing the road leading to Jalan Cempaka Lestari. However, access for residents and road users will still be available.

"Pedestrian area will be provided during the work in progress," he added.

As for the information, since it was proclaimed as a transit-oriented area on December 8, 2021, PT MRT Jakarta and the contractors have continued to build the area as the South Jakarta Suar Gate.

One of them was by providing a transit hub which is located about 300 meters to the east of Lebak Bulus Train Station.

This land approximately 2,000 square meters would be equipped with flyover facilities connecting the Point Square Building, transit hub, bicycle parking, drop-off spot for private vehicles, Transjakarta bus stops, and online transportation.
